Denver, Colorado/Fraser, Colorado |
I grew up onTulane/Shaftesbury and attended Jackson Park, Hanley and U. City. After graduating with an RN in 1960, I worked at both Jewish and Desloge Hospitals before marrying Marshall Haith from Kansas City. We moved to Los Angeles where we lived for 2 years while Marshall finished his PhD. I worked in the operating room at UCLA and our son Michael was born in 1962...........a very busy 2 years! By 1965 we were in New Haven where we had our second son, Brian, and in 1970 we had a third son, Gary, while living in Boston. In 1972 we made our final academic move to Denver where Marshall became a professor of Child Psychology at the University of Denver, and I worked at Swedish Hospital as an ENT nurse. Our careers have provided ample opportunity to travel both around the U.S. and in Europe. In 1977-78, we spent a sabbatical year in Paris, living in the suburbs and traveling around in our VW bus almost every weekend and holiday to various European countries. We're both retired now and are lucky enough to spend 3/4 of our time in a home we built on 11 acres near the Winter Park, Colorado, ski area and the rest in Denver. Our 3+2 kids and 4 grand-daughters all live in the Denver area, and we see them often when they come up to ski and hike with us. Fortunately, we have become part of a large network in the mountains of like-minded folks with whom we camp, square-dance, ski, bike, and generally live the wholesome outdoor life. Marshall and I continue to travel almost as much now as when we married 45 years ago. We love having old friends visit our Rocky Mountain retreat, so please get in touch if you're in our neighborhood. |
