Bernie Kaufman informed me of Helene's passing yesterday (Feb. 19, 2008). I was saddened and shocked since I had
no idea that she was even sick. We had communicated and I was happy that she liked receiving mail from
Buddycoop@aol.com. I thought that we might have a connection through Don Unger her husband, since I have a
cousin, Bob Unger on my mother's side. Helene and I discussed the genealogy but didn't see a link. I remember
seeing her in the halls of U. City High, and she appeared happy and upbeat then as she was in her emails before the
reunion last year. She will be missed. Jane and I send our deepest condoloences to Don and his family.
