Sonny Benson |
Sonny Benson died mid 80's of heart attack. Sonny had rheumatic fever as a child and developed valve problems. I wasn't friends with Sonny at U. City but in college at both Mo.U. and Washington U. became friends. (even though I kidded him in spite of the fact that he couldn't throw a ball.) He graduated Washington U Law School and was a stock broker in St. Louis at the time of his death. His wife Pat and Sonny had one son, Will Durant Brent Benson obviously named after... a close friend of Pat's father. A side story is that Sonny's girlfriend at Washington U. introduced me to my ex wife. (don't know if that was a good thing or not) (submitted by Alan Cupples) |
