When I graduated from UCity in June of 1957, I was only 16 years old. So, to catch up with my age group in college, I
enlisted in the Coast Guard for 6 months and worked at a clothing manufacturer for 6 months. I then enrolled in
Wash. U hoping to become a Chemical Eng. I loved the chemistry, but didn't understand the engineering one bit.
In the fall of 1959, I enrolled in the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, where I graduated in 1962. In my senior year, I met
and married Carol Samuels, UCity class of 1958. Right after I graduated, Carol and I moved to Denver, CO, where I
have been ever since.
Along the way, we had 3 children, 2 daughters and a son. We divorced in 1977.
I have owned 2 different pharmacies, and then went to work for KMart, where I was pharmacy manager for 18 years. I
am presently employed by Walgreens for the past 5 years.
In 1980, I met Joyce and we married in 1983.
Joyce is a travel agent and we spend a good deal of time travelling.
Together, we have 6 children and 6 granddaughters.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.
Below is a picture of me and 3 of our 6 granddaughters.
