My life sure has sure been a soap opera. I finally had my midlife crisis since
our last reunion. After high school, I started at Washington University and
soon realized my interests were in interior design. Next was a wonderful
time at the Ray Vogue School of Interior Design in Chicago. I then came
back to work in Interior Design in St. Louis. In 1961 I married Shelly Baron
and soon had 2 children, Andrew, now 44 and a daughter Cory now 43. Cory
has Cerebral Palsy and mental retardation. At that time there were no
special schools for her so we had to fight and pay heavily for every service
for her, which fortunately has changed now. I volunteered at United
Cerebral Palsy and was on the Board of Rainbow Village, where she now
lives in a wonderful residential home for persons with development
disabilities. I received my Real Estate Broker/Sales license in 1976. I have
been going strong ever since in real estate.
I use my Interior design in
staging my client's homes for a quick sale and for a much higher price.
Shelly and I divorced in 1987 after being married 26 yrs. We still remain
good friends and celebrate our children's special occasions together. I
remarried 2 years later, when Richard Flom (of our class) was my brother-in
law for a short time. After which I settled into a busy single life, dating,
meeting many wonderful new friends both male and female, working in Real
Estate still, and traveling all over the world with my 8 yr. long term
