Gene is looking forward to the reunion of his 1957 class, remembering fond memories of football days, and a special time, that our two chhildren will never know. "The kind of U. City that I grew up in, and enjoyed with the freedoms we had and close knit community don't exist today. The neighborhood friends, and the kind of things like Wigwan just aren't around." Our son Daniel is 24, and lives in Melbourne, Australia. He attended U. of Illinois, and got a job as an urban planner, his major, after college graduation. He was recently interviewed on Australian Sports Radio, as he is captain of a league American style football team in Victoria, that won two back to back championships. Dan played football for St. Louis Country Day four years, and Carole and I really enjoyed watching his high school football games. Of course, Coach Stub Muhl always came to mind! Our daughter Lissie is 22, is a senior at Bradley University in Peoria and will graduate this May. She is majoring in Public Relations, with a minor in Marketing. Recently, for her senior project, her PR group organized a fund raiser involving the Peoria Chiefs, which was really fun to attend. Ryne Sandberg, their manager, signed a baseball |
