In September of ‘69 I started law school at night. My husband wanted a law degree (in addition to his D.O. degree) and asked if I would go
with him. I went for a semester but my children became ill with the mumps and I dropped out. In 1971 we moved to Lincolnwood, a
Chicago suburb and I began work, part-time, towards a Masters in school counseling, which I received in 1975. In 1977 Bruce and I
divorced and I again went back to school--this time the Jane Addams School of Social Work (U. of Ill.); I received an MSW in 1979 and
went to work for the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization, working mostly with behavior disordered students. I stayed in
Chicago until Alan graduated from high school--1987--then moved back to St. Louis. From September 1987 until I retired in ‘05, I worked as
a high school guidance councelor and ha a part-time private practice as a psychotherapist. I am still in private practice, but took additional
training from the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute; I finished a two-year program there in ‘06. During all these years that I’ve been single,
although I have had my share of relationships, I’ve never been seriously involved until two years ago when I finally met "Mr. Right." We’ve
been living together since October of ‘05.
My children are now, of course, grown. David is a physician married to Mary. They live in Lake Forest, Illinois with their two children, Jacob
(9) and Shayna (6), and Mary’s two grown children, Pamela and Michael. Debra, a teacher lives with her partner, Moira, and their two
children, Naomi (3½) and Jonah (1½) in Minneapolis. Alan, a lawyer, is married to Aimee and lives in Deerfield, Illinois with his two children,
Amanda (3) and Andrew (1).

I now live in University City near the high school and in addition to my practice, I spend a good deal of time involved in theater. I act in 3 or
4 plays a year and am on the board of several theater companies. I also travel with "Leif". We spent all of last September in Florence.
