The only mistake we all made was being born ten years too
soon. My son has asked about the "wild times" in high
school--Yea! No sexual revolution, no drugs, no drinking, no war
protesting--STRIKE 3! Sorry, son, that was for the next
generation.
I did find time to meet my future wife, Joyce "Toodles"
Glassman, and we're still married after 44 years!
Back I went to St. Louis for internship at Jewish Hospital and
residency at Barnes in Ophthalmology.

Our son, Michael, was born in 1967. He has graduated from
Ladue HS, Northwestern U., and Washington U. law school. He
now is married (one princess due to make her entrance this
summer) and working with my wife in her family business.
Toodles is still working, because somebody has to pay for my
retired lifestyle. Retired! I'm getting ahead of myself.
After residency, Uncle Sam said I was a fine young man and
"invited" me to join the Army. As the godfather said, "It was an
offer I best not refuse." Our family spent one year at Fort Knox
in Kentucky and one year at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.
