being there for six months, I fell in love with the Southwest,
its climate and history. I knew I wanted to live here forever!
After getting out of the Army, a buddy of mine and I decided
to go to Europe for the summer. I had stopped by St.Louis
on my way to Europe and met my future wife on a blind date
arranged by my sister. After spending 3 months touring
Europe with my Army buddy, I returned to St. Louis to look
up my former blind date. One thing led to another and before
you know it, we were engaged to be married the following
year (1965). We were married in St. Louis in September 1965
and after our honeymoon moved to Albuquerque N.M. I
began work as a pharmacist in a local drugstore, while my
wife Jerry began teaching in the Albuquerque elementary
school system.
