We spend a fair amount of time traveling to visit our children who don't have the free time we do. We both volunteer at the local grade school--Joan works with kids with some learning difficulty and I work with the ESL teacher and tutor math. We both enjoy family and friends, golf, skiing, books and most of all each other. I spent about 23 years in government, mostly at the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice, and 9 years with the Washington office of a large NY law firm. For the past 10 years, I have worked with only one client in several different capacities, now part time. Friends from St. Louis still call me Butch; others call me Bob. I am very comfortable with either. |
