After high school at which I must give credit to a wonderful teacher, Ed Menges, who encouraged me to pursue a further education in art, I went to Washington University School of Fine Arts. I have continued painting professionally as well as teaching thru the years. My husband, Floyd Emert, and I have been married 47 wonderful years and have four children and eleven grandchildren. My children are: Cindy Shapiro, who is a teacher; Brad, an attorney; Todd, an options trader, in Chicago; and Julie Yawitz, a social worker. Over the years we have traveled a lot, and ten years ago we bought a home in Florida, and since then have divided our time between St. Louis and Florida. |
