I met my wife Carol at Westmont and in December of this year we will
celebrate 45 years of marriage. We were bless with three children (a girl
and two boys). All of them are married and we have seven
grandchildren. Our daughter Joanne died suddenly in February, 1999. Our
oldest son is studying at Dallas Theological Seminary and looking forward
to pastoral ministry. Our youngest son is raising support to begin
ministry with The Navigators.

That's about it. Hope we can make the reunion.

Lou Barbieri (end)

Throughout my ministry I have had the privilege of writing a few articles
for Christian magazines and encyclopedias. I have written two books
(commentaries on the biblical books of 1 & 2 Peter and the Gospel of
Mark). I also wrote a commentary on the Gospel of Matthew that was part of
a commentary that covered the whole New Testament.
In 1968 I joined the faculty of the Moody Bible Institute (Chicago)
teaching in the areas of biblical and theological studies. In 1977 I
returned to Dallas to join the faculty of Dallas Theological Seminary. I
taught in the Bible department and also served as the Dean of Students. In
1987 I accepted a call from the Des Plaines (IL) Bible Church and became
their Senior Pastor. Then in 1995 I returned to Moody once again as a
faculty member. Since 2000 I have been the Chairman of the Department of
Theology. In February 2003 I received the Faculty Citation Award. I plan
to teach for about two more years and then retire from Moody. Who knows
what I will do after that, but I doubt that I will ever completely
retire. My life is Christian ministry!
